Rodney Rayner

Rolls Royce may have coined the phrase "Design Without Compromise", but nowhere are these three simple words more applicable than to another great British purveyor of prestige, Rodney Rayner. Without question, this master of the magnificent is to colored stones what Rolls Royce is to motor cars.

His jewelry is all about dazzling color, uncompromising quality, and the design approach that is ultra high fashion.

"My goal is to move each new collection forward to experimenting with innovative techniques, playing with shapes, cuts and textures of unexpected gemstones - then pushing the boundaries in terms of form, volume and color."

Intensely attune to even the smallest detail, Rayner uses his signature "silky pave" to create unexpected contrasts, as well as layered tone-on-tone harmonies.
"I want each piece to have hidden surprises so that no matter which angle it is viewed from - even if only by the wearer - there is something interesting - a surprise of detail.

Stephen Webster

Let's start with my favorite one - Stephen Webster - one of the leading British jewelry designers.

His designs have a potent physical charisma that is virtually irresistible. They explode with dangerous curves, jagged points, incredible darkness, and profound light. They suggest tribal marking, Gothic architecture, and the thorns and webs of nature. Behind all of this glamour, however, lies a consummate artist of incredible skill and versatility.
Below few examples of his amazing job.

"I travel a lot to source stones and work with various cutters. I enjoy this side of creative process along with almost everything from the initial drawings to seeing the first piece of new collection being finished".

"I have no interest in ordinary jewelry. Being in a position where most of what we make can be extraordinary keeps me more than interested".

I love his designs. Defiantly one of the most controversial jewelry designers of our century.
